😂 instead of putting this system to defend we need to use it to bombard mars with asteroids to give it more mass before we land the first ships on mars. The administration can use the entire planet as a mining colony.

Now relatively to star.trek. If someone develop the warp drive around the year 2040,i hope that will not be an an third world atomic war..

This idea for Nuclear Power was introduced in the 1970's. Lobbyists convinced the Nixon administration (Bribed) that Uranium has more benefits and the team trying to get Thorium reactors built were shutdown and I believe they were financially ruined. A startup called Copenhagen Atomics are trying to revive this and they have an operational reactor in Indonesia and claim it produces 1 Giga Watt of power a day. (The average family of four in the U.S. uses about 5 kilowatts a day and I use the U.S. because it's normal for us to leave the house with utilities running. People in other nations shut down everything that draws power before they leave their dwellings). I have a feeling Copenhagen Atomics is going to get shut down and bankrupted or their top engineers are going to be unalived. Several powerful entities, including Nations that don't have great human rights track records, have a hold on the entire energy sector and Thorium reactors would end that hold. Also billions of people are employed because of fossil fuels. The petrol industry makes up over 75% of the Global economy. There are people working at McDonald's right now who have no idea they're employed because of petroleum. Replace petroleum and the entire globe crashes. It might be a good idea to look into hydrogen power. You can get a hydrogen generator, hydrogen storage facility and the equipment used to separate hydrogen and oxygen from water for 1/2 million dollars. Buy land away from the city that you can harvest your own produce on. Invest in the hydrogen generator that produces 10 kilowatts a day and make yourself independent and sovereign. Get a well system installed and a septic tank. Thorium sounds great but looking at the insane situation the U.S. Government is putting the entire world in tells me we're going to all he devastated by war. Get your families to safety and invest in making your own electricity.

Indonesia is to receive a ship from China carrying a Thorium fueled, Liquid Salt, Nuclear Reactor, it will tie up at a wharf and supply a city with electricity. If these ships also carried a desalination plant it could supply the city with drinking water straight from the harbour using off peak electricity during the wee hours of the morning. I predict every port in the world will eventually have at least one of these ships within the next 20 years, which is a new very valuable industry.

I remember a 1 gigaton bomb USA had in 1980s it was top secret then but later they kinda leaked it's existence. It could be also mounted on awesome Titan II missile and it's insta-kill zone is 4 200 000 km² by my calculations, so it could destroy half of America or China.

Graphene is a lie. Materials have holes not beacuase of defects but due to statistical mechanics you can circonvent that by using small sample or by using high entropy materials (see high entropy alloys). Future materials exists, but they are never the ones you hear brough up in the media. PS: I am taliking about atom sized holes in the latice of the material. Grapheen is srong beause small sample are devoid of such holes. But above a certain size physics commands a defect to appear, thus compromising the strength of the material.

Honestly companies that will win the energy war will be countries like Russia and China and maybe India which are able to go ahead without political resistance. USA will fall.behind due to coal lobbyists pushing back these technology to protect coal miner jobs.

I was 100% certain this video would be about antimatter. I was really surprised to find it was about neutrons instead. I honestly had no idea about the explosive properties of neutrons (I hardly know anything about neutrons at all frankly). It's good to be reminded occasionally that I am not, and probably never will be, a nuclear physicist and that I know nothing much about the world around me.
